10 Most Common Mistakes Baristas Make With Coffee

A barista is an espresso machine “coffee artist” who has extensive knowledge of coffee and prepares, decorates and serves drinks to the customer.

Barista (m/f) is the Italian word for bartender. The Italian plural is baristi (m) or bariste (f). The term was originally adopted in English, where its meaning has changed somewhat. While in Italy a barista offers all kinds of drinks, the term in English-speaking countries refers to a person who prepares and serves espresso-based drinks with a professional air, especially in coffee shops. The term later entered the German language with this meaning.

A barista is often a master of the "latte art", creating images in cappuccino while pouring milk foam into espresso.

Baristas must have knowledge of coffee blends, coffee roasting, how to operate and maintain espresso machines, milk foam and much more in their field of activity. Information like this can be obtained in #barista courses.
